Comment | Members of this family are the alpha subunit of the 20S proteasome as found in Actinobacteria such as Mycobacterium, Rhodococcus, and Streptomyces. In most Actinobacteria (an exception is Propionibacterium acnes), the proteasome is accompanied by a system of tagging proteins for degradation with Pup. |
