CommentMembers of this protein family are 2-ketocyclohexanecarboxyl-CoA hydrolase, a ring-opening enzyme that acts in catabolism of molecules such as benzoyl-CoA and cyclohexane carboxylate. It converts -ketocyclohexanecarboxyl-CoA to pimelyl-CoA. It is not sensitive to oxygen.
