CommentCRISPR is a term for Clustered, Regularly Interspaced Short Palidromic Repeats. A number of protein families appear only in association with these repeats and are designated Cas (CRISPR-Associated) proteins. This family is represented by CT1975 of Chlorobium tepidum and is part of the Ecoli subtype of CRISPR/Cas locis. It is designated Cse4, for CRISPR/Cas Subtype Ecoli protein 4.
