CommentThis model represents geranylgeranylglyceryl phosphate synthase which catalyzes the first committed step in the synthesis of ether-linked membrane lipids in archaea [1]. The active enzyme is reported to be a homopentamer in Methanobacterium thermoautotrophicum but is reported to be a homodimer in Thermoplasma acidophilum.
