CommentThis enzyme is a homodimer. The pyridoxal phosphate attachment site is the Lys at position 146 of the seed alignment, in the motif Cys-Asp-Ile-Lys-Ser-Leu-Asn. Specificity is broad for various D-amino acids, and differs among members of the family; the family is designated equivalog, but with this caveat attached.
