CommentExperimentally characterized in archaea as 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate-independent phosphoglycerate mutase. This model describes a set of proteins in the Archaea (two each in Methanococcus jannaschii, Methanobacterium thermoautotrophicum, and Archaeoglobus fulgidus) and in Aquifex aeolicus (1 member).
